Janice Dalton
Certified Play Therapist

As a fully trained, Certified Play Therapist (PTUK), I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment where children can explore their feelings and work towards positive change.
I am named on the Register of Play and Creative Arts Therapists which has been accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
I trained through APAC and am a member of PTUK and as such I work to their Ethical Framework.
I have a current DBS, insurance and am compliant with GDPR and registered with the ICO.
I am a fully qualified Certified Play Therapist with over 18 years of experience working with children. I completed my Post Graduate Certificate in Therapeutic Play Skills and Post Graduate Diploma in Play Therapy with PTUK and have been working as a play therapist in schools since 2022. I am experienced working with children who have been through trauma, abuse and neglect, including adopted and Looked After Children. I am currently working with children with a range of special needs including ADHD, Autism and Down Syndrome.
I complete regular in person and online CPD to extend my knowledge and skills in play therapy.
Previously, I worked as a teacher in a small infant school in Milton Keynes for 15 years, having completed my PGCE (University of Northampton) in 2008.
My other qualifications include MA in Sociology of Sport (University of Leicester) and BA (Hons) in Sociology and Social Anthropology with English Literature (Keele University).
